Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Vizzini along Viale Regina Margherita, Bar Amoroso is an authentic Sicilian gem that masterfully blends the charm of a traditional pizza restaurant, vibrant bar, expert caterer, and charming pastry shop all under one roof. Whether you're craving the flaky, buttery delight of their freshly baked brioche, or the irresistible sweetness of their famous Sicilian granita, this local hotspot delivers a sensory feast that captures the essence of Sicily's culinary heritage.

Step inside Bar Amoroso, and you're embraced by a warm, welcoming atmosphere where the aroma of homemade pizza dough mingles with the invigorating scent of freshly brewed espresso and sugared almonds. The menu beautifully marries classic Italian flavors with comforting homestyle dishes, such as their richly layered lasagna and hearty sausage with potatoes—perfectly crafted to satisfy every appetite. Patrons praise the food's authentic taste and generous portions, making every visit feel like a trip back to a cherished family kitchen.

What truly sets Bar Amoroso apart is its exceptional attention to local tradition, especially evident in the ritual of enjoying granita paired with a "Brioche col Tuppo," a beloved Sicilian breakfast favorite. Vincenzo A. exclaims it as “one of the best Granita,” while Michael Ward fondly reflects on decades of loyalty, praising the “best brioche and granita in Vizzini” alongside the bar’s friendly and inviting staff. Such heartfelt testimonials underscore the deep connection Bar Amoroso fosters with its community and visitors alike.

Beyond indulgent breakfasts, Bar Amoroso invites you to savor its versatile offerings throughout the day. From flavorful pizzas bursting with fresh ingredients to comforting pastas and perfectly cooked steaks, each dish is prepared with passion and patience—qualities noted by Cerys O’Keefe, who commended the staff's kindness despite language barriers and loved returning for a second breakfast. Claire Cilmi’s everyday brunch visits highlight the spot’s accessibility and unbeatable value, making it an essential stop for locals and tourists seeking genuine Sicilian hospitality.

Whether you're seeking a casual place to unwind with a drink, a delightfully sweet pastry break, or catering for a special occasion, Bar Amoroso promises an authentic, memorable experience that celebrates the rich flavors and warmth of Sicily’s culinary traditions. A visit here is more than just a meal—it's a heartfelt homage to Sicilian culture, savoring every bite and every moment.

UK Tourist in Vizzini. This place was recommended to us, and it was great. Firstly, the food, drinks and service were excellent. Especially the Granitas. We were in the outside bit, obviously people smoke in there, and as it's got covers around it, the smoke doesn't go away as quickly. But if you don't like that, go inside. As typical tourists who don't know anything, we ordered lunch food items at breakfast time! And although we waited for a little while, they actually fully accommodated us. We spoke no Italian, and the server spoke no English, but we got by using Google Translate. I was really impressed by how much effort she put into speaking with us. I felt pretty embarrassed about how bad our Italian was. She didn't seem annoyed, though, just tried to be helpful. The food was really very lovely. I had a salad, which was delicious, and some of us had bowls of pasta as fresh as anything you've seen. The prices were incredibly reasonable, too. I would strongly recommend this place in Vizzini, but make sure you have Google Translate, especially as the menus are in Italian. The icing on the cake was they had gluten free sicilian brioche which was lovely.

This is a jem of a pizzeria, worthy of a detour, an attraction of the city of Vizzini. The pizze, of which there is a variety on offer, are of commendable quality, and one of our well versed friend commented that the pizza Tartufo that he ordered on the occasion was his best pizza ever. The crunchiness of the crust is subtle, the content rich, and the composition impressive; pizza Adriana even had a whole piece of burrata magnificently placed at the centre.
